People are always coming and going from California. It seems like over the last ten years, everyone talks about Californians moving to Texas or Tennessee. But if you look at tax migration data on How Money Walks.com it paints a different picture.

First, you can look at specific counties, where they are gaining population from, and where they are losing it to. To no surprise, since 1985 Orange County has gained nearly 170,000 people from just LA County alone.

But where are our local OC residents heading out to? Well, in that same time period, some of the most popular destinations are actually not Austin, Texas or Nashville, Tennessee, at least not based on the tax information. Among the top counties are San Diego (no surprise there), Clark County Nevada (home to Las Vegas), Maricopa County (home to Phoenix and Scottsdale), and Collin County Texas (home to Dallas).

Does any of that surprise you? As OC residents, I'm curious if you’ve seen any friends or neighbors making moves to those areas. Let me know in the comments below where you’ve seen people migrating to.

Also, if you’re thinking of making a move to one of those areas, let me know. I have close friends and colleagues in every one of those areas who can be a great asset in your search for a second home, investment property, or new place to relocate!

Give me a call today and I'd love to connect you to any one of them. Literally, anywhere in the US, I’ve got you covered! Thanks for watching! We’re making content about all things Orange County, every week, so make sure to like, comment and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more!
